Welcome to the Salon –
The URBaNE Salon, also known as the Northumbria University Urban Research Salon (#NURS), was launched in 2022 as a forum for urban research across Northumbria University and beyond. The Salon is a dedicated hub containing modern media formats such as podcasts and blog content – and is evidential of our commitment to find new ways to engage with members of the urban research and practitioner communities. We are always looking for new ways to promote and discuss Urban Research in and about metropolitan Newcastle and beyond, looking at cross-cutting issues that impact our urban planet.
The Salon builds on the existing URBaNE webspace by providing a content-rich and dynamic hub for all information related to urban research and related discussions.
We are a group of urban researchers across (and beyond) Northumbia University, looking at urban life through a multidisciplinary lens.
